One of the main questions I get from my clients is - What should I post on social media that relates to my brand?

My response to clients: Who is your audience and do you understand what their behaviors and preferences are beyond the specific products or services you are offering them?

Once you know your ideal audience and community, you’ll be able to focus on the things they love and connect with your community on a personal level.

Brands that seek to inspire, guide, and motivate, appeal consumers in a way that shapes the way they spend their time and relationship with others.

With social media platforms where you see small snippets of everyday life or an aspirational dream, it's important to think about how content can form the basis for your brand's marketing of a product or service.

Below are 3 tips to craft a true lifestyle brand that will help you connect with your audience on social media:

1. Focus on your why

Focus on your why and the reasons you started your brand in the first place. Having an aspirational lifestyle centered around your brand will set yourself as a leader with a mission and vision. If you are attracting the right person with your messages, it will line up perfectly with the lifestyle that fits within your community.

2. Create meaningful relationships

By embodying the values, aspirations, and interests of your ideal customers, your brand's specific offering will contribute further to the definition of the customers' way of life.

Here is an example of beauty brand setting itself apart from others by creating a community focused on wellness and mental health awareness.

Rare Beauty’s Mission: To delight, empower, and inspire. We believe in the power of beauty and self-care to help people feel good, build confidence, find their community, and simply enjoy a few minutes to themselves. Our mission is to develop and scale purpose-driven brands that have a truly positive impact: products that delight, communities that empowers, brands that inspire. In a word, Rare.

Focusing on natural-looking makeup, soft and minimal looks, diverse representation, and a pretty affordable price range, Selena Gomez’s beauty brand, Rare Beauty, creates a diverse community of everyday makeup-loving people who are also passionate about wellness and self-care.

Rare Beauty's content and messaging not only focuses on the products’ benefits and effects, but also focuses on cultivating and connecting with their community by providing tips and resources for self-care and mental health awareness.

By connecting with your community on a personal level, you will be able to share things that are related to that lifestyle.

3. Be authentic

You need to be authentic and stay true to who you are. What makes you "you" is what will resonate with your audience the most because it is real. Take your passions and transform it into a reality.

Whether you are a freelancer selling services or a business owner selling products, social media is your key to growing a personable brand.

From brand strategy and design to social media management and content creation, I can help you take your brand to the next level.
